I Am Who I Am
And God said to Moses, “I am who I am.” [Exodus 3:14]

Whatever your challenge is today, whether it is physical, emotional,
financial or marital, the great I Am declares to you: “I am to you what you need Me to be.”

Do you need healing? He says, “I am the Lord who heals you. (Exodus 15:26)
And as you believe Me, you will see your healing manifest thirty-fold, sixty-fold and a hundredfold.”

Are you groping in the dark, not knowing what to do? He says, “I am the light of the world. (John 8:12)
When you walk in Me, you will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

Are you looking for a way out of a bad situation? He says, “I am your deliverer.
I will reach down from on high, take hold of you and draw you out of the deep waters.” (Psalm 18:2,16)

Are you wondering if there is more to life than merely existing from day to day? He says,
“I am the resurrection and the life. (John 11:25) I came to give you life. And where there is life,
there cannot be death. You will have life and life more abundantly.” (John 10:10)

Are you fearful of what is ahead of you? He says, “I am the good shepherd (John 10:11),
who leads you to pastures of tender, green grass and waters of rest. You will not suffer lack.” (Psalm 23:1–3)

Are you confused by the opinions and reports of man? He says, “I am the Alpha and the Omega,
the First and the Last. (Revelation 1:11) I have the final word in your life.
The doctors do not have the final word. The experts do not have the final word.
I have the first word and the last word in your situation.”

My friend, do not be fearful of the problems you face. The great I Am declares to you,
“Fear not! For I am to you what you need Me to be!”

Late last year the Quebec Government threatened to close all Christian schools in the province unless we had a government permit. This came about because of a complaint by a government school board official that our schools were not teaching evolution and sex education. This is a fallacy as we do talk about evolution and the reasons we don't believe in it. Sex education is taught as well but as God has ordained it. For the past year the Christian schools in Quebec have been negotiating with the Government to try and get the permits that are needed. We have not compromised our teaching or our beliefs but have augmented it in the areas our schools were lacking.

On Friday the government gave a permit to the primary grades taught by our schools (grades 1-6) but denied it for our secondary students. Letters have been sent out to all the heads of the schools to be received tomorrow Monday August 27th. We do not know what that letter contains as yet. Once received it will be discussed by the schools and our lawyers about what our options are.

We also learned that Quebec is now taking steps to close all Christian schools in the province that do not have a government permit. A Mennonite school in Roxboro was warned to close our face prosecution. The Mennonite community has decided that they would rather obey the word of God in training up their children then handing them over to the government sponsored public school system which is failing miserably here in Quebec. (More students drop out than graduate.) On Tuesday the secondary students and their families will know what the government has to say. If the government tells us to close down we will also have to look at alternatives. Despite what the government says we as parents have the right to teach our children in the manner we see fit. This was upheld by the supreme court of Canada in 1986 and is intrenched in the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. For a government to dictate to a supposed free people how to raise their children smacks of socialism or communism.

Please pray for Quebec. For the Christian schools and our lawyers as well as the government. We desperately need your prayers! Christian freedom is being attacked and we need to take a stand.

Hi Angel

Thank you for this wonderful entry. It was a good thing you posted it...we are going through a family crisis and I as at the point of throwing my hands up in despair....but thanks to your entry I was able to get focused back on "The Great I Am". I am always in need of being reminded to cast my cares upon Him. Not so easy sometimes...especially when the Lord has someone has stubborn as I am to work with. Oh well...one day at a time.

Pray all is going well for you and Yannis.
